Establishment of ERT
ERT is a Portuguese multinational company with its core business on the manufacture of automotive interior components. Our headquarters are located in São João da Madeira, at the heart of one Portugal’s automotive industry cluster.
We aim to be a reference on Business Innovation. It is for this motive that we have implemented measures to deliver continuous improvement of the management of our resources, of our people’s skills and use our knowledge to create Innovation to our products.

ERT was established in 1992.as a small laminating textiles company for shoes linings. As off 2000 it entered the automotive sector, with the knowledge gained in this technological domain.

In the automotive supply chain, ERT is a well-known supplier of raw materials with a competitive growth strategy.

ERT’s quality management system follows ISO 9001 standard as well as IATF 16949 standards.
Both standards define and establish conditions, rules and work methods within the company.
The standard ISO 14001 is an essential tool for ERT to strength the trust of its customers, workers, community and society through voluntary statement of commitment to continuous improvement of its environmental performance.
All items that are laminated through different processes either flame, hot melt, spray or calender are certified according to OEKO--TEXT® Standard.
Managing strategic knowledge is crucial for ERT, therefore as off 2012 the company decided to move further on and establish RDI management system process.
These values are an integral part of ERT’s business strategy, and they are supported in the implementation of an integrated Environment and Quality Management System, as well as in the principles of Management through Total Quality.
